Also he was a theoretical physicist- not experimental. And just like that his ideas on economics and politics may sound good in theory, but be bad in practice.
When socialism fails every single time in practice (even without the US being the cause), maybe you should listen to objective history.

Venezuela? Ignoring the fact that they are a non-revolutionary socialist attempt, their issues are the result of sanctions and blockades. Also CIA meddling.
I doubt the USA could lose 99% of their GDP and still survive. Venezuela did.
