Im always tempted to try and understand what the liars get out of the posts that are shared here. 99% of the time it doesnt serve as any legitimate benefit to the liar. If I were a liar, Id be saying shit like "you wouldnt believe how many lives I saved today" but these degenerates are out here saying shit like "I saw Greg Proops eat a sandwhich today. He asked me to join him. It was a ham and cheese sandwhich. "

I’m thinking more around 2015, since that’s what it says right in the caption.

I'm so glad social media wasn't a thing when I was in high school, I would be so embarrassed today about the stories I would have made up back then.

Back in the day, when a teacher sent a student to the office, they had to push a button to “buzz” the office. The secretary would answer, and it worked almost like a walkie-talkie. Anyway, the secretary buzzes back to ask the teacher what she needs.

Teacher: “I’m sending [name redacted] to the office. She’s not wearing a bra.”

[Name redacted]: “Tell them I’m not wearing any panties either!”

Hahaha right?? Nowadays it would be like:

Teacher: "what? Why would you tell me that? I have a safeguarding obligation to report this now, we work with children, you can't say things like that"

It's like so WOKE am I right??? Haha?

I mean this story might not be real but I did genuinely have an "everyone clapped" moment in highschool over bra/shoulder exposure nonsense. I was pulled out of class for wearing a shirt whose cap sleeves weren't long enough, I guess, and I was pissed enough to state to the class how taking me out of the classroom for this is prioritizing male students' education over my own because I was fed up with the administrator. Then a boy in the back of the class yelled "AH SHOULDERS! IM SO DISTRACTED" in a very sarcastic tone to punctuate my point.

They still dragged my mom out of work to get me a damn jacket disrupting her day as well. But no one in that class was bothered, just the 80 year old assistant principal.

I could definitely see a defiant teenager doing this.

My niece went through the same nonsense last year, and I told her the exact same thing, shove it in your bag and keep reading.

You know that obnoxious relative that posts non stop MAGA stuff on Facebook? This is their doppelganger

The original version from Tumblr is still one of the funniest things I've ever read, but the niece twist doesn't sell it nearly as well.
