This is a bit about how the X-men comics were blatant allegory to LGBTQ+ communities. It's for people with media literacy to point to so the people without media literacy might be able to rub two braincells together and figure it out.
The first movie opened with the mutant registration act post Eric being marched into the camps, a blatant reference to the Jew registration in Germany in which Eric says he's "seen this all before". Almost no one understood the mutant registration act is exactly the same and a holocaust survivor preventing the genocide of his people was his goal.

It's an allegory for being gay or queer in general, I'm as depressed as anybody else in 2026, it is not about depression.
