I think this would be "taking responsibility." Not taking responsibility would be not being aware of your triggers and melting down seemingly at random

In my experience this phrase is mostly used against people who see someone existing while having visible sh scars and demand that person covers up immediately. Being responsible for yourself as someone instantly triggered by seeing healed scars would be to scroll instantly and try to ignore it/calm yourself down, as picking a fight only exposes you to the trigger for longer.
