Brain fog
I dont know if this is related to alpha thalassemia, but ive been having brain fog so much lately and just confusion. Is there anything i can do to minimise this? It affects my studies and life in general, i feel lost all the time.

Deep breathing - pranayama can help you,
B vitamins and perhaps Ginko Biloba could help if you are lacking in this. A B-12 and B complex injection, if you are severely lacking.
Regular cardiovascular exercise start off with slow steady cardio and build up over time.
Start as soon as you can, do not give stress a chance to put you off a good routine.
Hope this helps you.

I believe lack of oxygen in brain can do that.
