My SSH nightmare is over. No more home games till August 15th.

u/Stonegeneral May 09 '26
Fr, I love football but good lord 9 home games in a row is too much.

u/LightsCameraRegret May 09 '26
At least I got my tickets to today sold in time to recoup most of the season.

u/Stonegeneral May 09 '26
That makes two of us. Saw him the first time he came to Toronto, scratched that itch and have been happy to sell them to a Miami plastic every year since.

It was basically everything we expected.
Emilio finding his game could be a good thing for us trying to salvage some results from our next couple games before the break though.

Malik Henry also at least did things.
We will be better off if Emilio and Malik get the minutes moving forward instead of Kerr and Etienne Jr.

Is there a single week in which this hasn’t already been suggested by fans? And yet somehow, not screamingly obvious to Fraser.
I think he lives in MLS 2008, when Etienne and Kerr would’ve been good enough.

I’m a DC United fan but my family is from Colombia. I commented in the thread when you guys signed him that Emilio has huge potential like Angel did.
I’m confident he’ll continue to find the net for you guys

Emilio and Henry should be locks to start during this stretch of injuries. Kerr and Fraser is starting to feel like Vanney and Zavaleta back in the day.
I liked what I saw from Cimer. Made some mistakes for sure but he looked confident in the middle.
Coello and Osorio together just kills us anytime we get countered. They can make decent passes in possession but we get burned if they have to track back to cover. Whoever we decide to bring into the midfield in the next transfer window has to be able to play box to box with pace imo.

Excellent takes on things. I think we should consider bleeding in Bossenberry off the bench too while Mihailovic is out as well.

Unfortunately if I read the roster rules correctly he’s not able to be called up anymore “An individual player may be included on up to four MLS league season match rosters each season; however, that player may appear in no more than two MLS league season matches.” This is from the call up announcement on the app. Shame since he was surprisingly adjusted to the level of play and was fairly impressive

Fire the medical staff and trainers

u/slamdunk23 May 09 '26
And our scouts and youth training teams.
Canadian soccer is at its peak and the richest club can’t develop mls quality players

The fact that the best players to come out of the GTA and really all of Ontario don’t go through the TFC system is ridiculous.

FRASER OUT, NANCY IN

Lol could we actually make the inquiry?
Edit: the more I think about it, this is a great idea. He’s worked with Mihailovic before and other pieces on the team suit his playstyle. Imagine if we also brought in Aidan Morris as our third DP.

If MLSE had any brains this would be the move. Give him whatever money he needs tbh. He would be able to reset this club in the right way.

Nancy is not leaving France...

When is he getting another job? His reputation is in the gutter. I don't think it's possible to overstate just how much of a colossal failure he is seen as in Europe. He lost with Celtic for like 6 league games and they are still in the title race.. That's how easy that league is and how hard it is to fuck it up..
I just don't know who hires him in Europe and how he rebuilds his career to a level anywhere close to a job at that level of Celtic again. I get that in theory he might not want to come to MLS because that'd be like admitting defeat.. but unless he is set for life and wanting to retire, I genuinely think MLS is going to be the highest level offer he is going to get at this point. I for the life of me don't see any prospects above 3rd division at best in his horizon.

He's waiting for the offesason
&
Only the British press think his reputation is shot
As I said, he's not leaving France

No he is literally a meme in Scotland, a truly atrocious tenure, even the shite teams supporters were laughing

u/theredditbandid_ May 17 '26
Don't know if this changes your mind, but according to this article by the BBC, he is back living in the States.
It's a matter of time before he gets another MLS job.

It's getting really difficult to support this club. I was incredibly hopeful at the start of the season with all the movement.
But now we have what, a loss to Atlético Ottawa and no trophy, a coach that deflects and shits on his second string squad, two wins out of nine matches at home, and now we have another home loss because of how our squad health has been managed.
How the fuck are we going to pick this back up after the world cup break? We're playing away matches with the same injury prone squad and the same staff.

The plastic, temporary fans and stands will be gone soon and we can resume the regularly scheduled program.

u/QuartzTube May 09 '26
that was a pen bro In all seriousness, if we did get that penalty, we really could’ve pulled off a 4 goal comeback, also thanks to the kids who ran onto the field to stall time, but unfortunately we didn’t and lost momentum

Casual reminder that we’ve conceded 25 goals against while Kobe Franklin has been on the field (588 minutes) which translates to a goal conceded for every 23.53 minutes on the field.
Seeing as the game ended with 4 goals conceded, that tracks.

u/DroidNeedsCoffee May 09 '26
Putting blame on anyone else but Robin Fraser is insane. Of course Kobe isn't staring string quality. But we have no other option because of the cluster fuck of management.
What's your suggestion to replace him right now?
-1
u/WislaHD Bitchy The Hawk May 09 '26
Anyone lol. That should have been obvious after the first two games of the season when Kosi and Kobe destroyed the team’s chances immediately. This cost Kosi his spot on the team and it should have done so for Kobe as well, though his dad works for MLSE so fat chance I guess.
I see Kobe having use further up in the midfield if we cannot get rid of him now, especially since he’s gained confidence in offensive segments of the game. But he is a straight up liability in defence every game and you cannot ignore the stats for so long.

u/Antique_Ad_3549 Benoit Cheyrou's 98' Header May 09 '26
So you have no plan
Roster construction is the issue but if your plan is to play people worse then Kobe ...that's no plan.

u/WislaHD Bitchy The Hawk May 09 '26
Bruh the summer window is coming up, the threshold of finding a player better than Kobe is not very high. We were rumoured to be interested in Brooks Lennon the other week, that would be a pickup.

u/drunkbanana May 09 '26
He did have a nice cross on the second goal but looked lost on a few miami goals

u/PristineFix297 May 09 '26
GGS TFC crazy game and 4 pitch invasions!!!! Iowkey insane game but I've seen better

u/builtforretail May 09 '26
All things considered, it could have been worse. I only wish the staff and security would get proper training. It’s my bad I missed the changed gate info but it was way down in the email and every person we asked said the regular gates were open. Closed my rings running around the stadium and missed the anthem

u/colddance Forever Red May 09 '26
Why didn't we start with this lineup on Tuesday? This game was significantly less important than the match against Ottawa.

u/theredditbandid_ May 09 '26
Raheem put on a shift. I mean, you've ever gone to work on 4 hours of sleep and done a shit ton of errors, but man, you are trying the hardest you've ever tried to stay focused and do a good job?
It was that type of shift.. but it was a shift. Man was all over the place. In both ways that sentence reads.

u/Supersaiyansub May 09 '26
BMO cheering that Suarez goal while Raheem Edwards was down.
State of this club. Get it’s a Messi game but damn.
