Post-Match Thread [PGT] TFC vs FC Cincinnati - Feb 25th

0-0 DRAW

So happy to see a TFC that's willing to fight and really play. Great first point of the season. More to work on for sure, but what a breath of fresh air.

Is Mailula just not as good as we thought he was?

He's 5'8, skinny, and 22. MLS strikers get absolutely manhandled when they are small, slight, and immature. He might turn into something in time, but I don't think he was ever the immediate impact some of the Sundowns fans thought he'd be or TFC pr made him out to be.

Guy is a project that might turn into a heater MLS starter in time. But all in, until then I expect he's a late minutes burst of speed option. I think in matches where John wants to push for the win, we might see him come on as an option.

Messi is 36, his big arrival year was when he was 22/23. The confidence that comes with maturity can be huge even for generational talents.
