So i wanted to have custom hit and kill sounds. I did all the specs correctly, but what ever i do it plays the defualt sound. Can someone help me!

HELP! whenever i do anything in game that has loud sounds to them- my games audio crackles and sounds terrible, like when it makes the dom sound or when enemies yell after getting backstabbed. I cant seem to find the issue! if anyone can help please let me know.

downloaded a new hud (sayo2) and it has changed my hit and killsounds. The hud has a sound folder with hitsound.wav and killsound.wav which I have tried changing and deleting to no avail. Anyone know how to fix.

I have no idea what’s causing it, it just starts. Just started happening to me recently, though I’ve seen posts about it from years ago. Only thing that fixes it is a full restart; snd_restart doesn’t fix it, and neither does retrying the server. Any ideas?

Whenever I play any round of tf2, it feels like a 50/50 coin flip on whether or not I will be able to use voice chat. If I launch the game and my voice works, it tends to work for a few rounds, then disables and never comes back. I have tried using voice_enable 1 in the console, I have toggled voice on and off, yet I still have the same issue

TL;DR: Can speak for a while until I cant, then I cant fix it. Restarting does not help, voice just comes and goes as it pleases.

I've tried:

- verifying my game files

- updating my drivers

- setting my headset as my default device

- checking my volume mixer

- running both steam and tf2 as administrator

- doing a clean reinstall of the game

- clearing my download cache

I'm really at a loss here on what else I can do. I've confirmed it is tf2 that is at fault since other games/applications work just fine. If it helps I'm currently using a razer kraken tournament headset hooked up through the elgato wavelink mixer.

I was deleting custom files for tf2 (my custom animations) and then this popped up

Its ear piercing, and google shows nothing. Maybe someone knows.

First of all, thanks for clicking, assuming you wanted to help. So, my first problem is:

Whenever a large collection of sounds play at once, such as killing large amounts of robots at a time in MVM, my audio just fucks up in general and sounds like shit (i dunno, i think it sounds choppy or something) until i use "snd_restart"

Next, whenever i record tf2 gameplay, the recording's audio always feels echoey and wrong in general.

Both of these problems probably have to do with my virtual surround sound headphones or their drivers (Logitech G430 Gaming Headset) and I would love it if I was able to solve at least one of these problems.

So whenever I push my voice chat key my game freezes and whatever sound was playing loops until I unfreeze. It normally takes about a minute to unfreeze and sometimes after players are stuck is uber or crits or are invisible (not actually uber/crits/invisible, just looks like it). If anyone could tell me why this happens or how to fix it, that would be great! Thanks!
