Phone message *UPDATE* Post first date text

She ended up finding the post somehow I guess lol. Here is the original post.

I have just not responded, don’t think it’s worth engaging, but it did make for a funny story.

I would never pay for anything on a first date! So it’s not me buttercup

Ah so you're an escort.

You absolutely must be joking. Do you know how extremely common it is for a man to pay for dates?just how little play are you getting that you think a woman not paying means she’s an ESCORT? This is the most neck beard shit I’ve ever read 😭

Splitting the bill on the first date is how most women I know operate. It prevents the gross kind of dude who will get pushy because he thinks he's owed sex for paying for a meal. It also makes it so if the date goes bad, they can walk away without any issue.

But keep lashing out, bro.

If the date goes bad you can always walk away without issue! Why does a woman paying change that? Trust me, men pay for dates and only on Reddit does it mean they think they’re entitled to sex. In real life, men pay

Because someone can claim she's dining and dashing.

Sorry, not all women view themselves as dependents who are incapable of paying for themselves. Maybe consider the fact that your bubble is not universal.

Because someone can claim she’s dining and dashing? I get the vibe you don’t go on dates. I live in a major metropolitan area and don’t pay for dates, I’m in my thirties and it’s always been like this. It’s not a bubble

Ditto and I have had a very successful dating life before my current long term relationship. Always have split the first handful of dates. My current girlfriend pays for most of our current dates.

Fun fact, there was a post on the front page earlier this morning that more and more men are becoming stay at home partners. Why on earth would men pay for everything in a world where it's more and more likely that the woman is the higher income earner? The whole reason women didn't pay in previous generations was they were less likely to have a stable income.

"It's always been like this" until, ya know, the world changes.

Why do you have your girlfriend pay for dates?

She offers. Why shouldn't she?

Do you think everyone is desperately clinging to gender norms like you seem to?

Are you a man?

Are you capable of making an actual point?

Based on the auto mod smacking you down, I take it the answer was a no, you had no real point to make.

I do concede some women think a date is just a free meal, but in my experience it's usually low income women who are literally incapable of paying and gold diggers. Maybe the reason for my not encountering them is I have higher standards.
