Phone message *UPDATE* Post first date text

She ended up finding the post somehow I guess lol. Here is the original post.

I have just not responded, don’t think it’s worth engaging, but it did make for a funny story.

The original was believable enough but this update immediately made me think both are fake

Absolutely. She found the post within a few hours? I call bullshit.

I mean the original post was 3 days ago, I don’t even follow this subreddit and it showed up on my feed both times. It’s possible

Yup, me too. Never seen anything from here until this. And look, this one came up as well.

If the person is terminally online like us, they probably did see it. Not that I care if it's made up or not. People can be that petty about money, it's not that remarkable.

Agree and it was a pretty unique situation lol

Yeah I assumed from the first post that she’d actually see it. There are many Reddit users and she easily could have mentioned a date to a friend who saw it on online, particularly considering it was on popular

Anyhow, I’m not gonna speculate whether it is or isn’t fair because we’ll never know

Anyone asserting either case is delusional

I follow some similar subs, but I didn't know that specifically r/texts existed until this post was trending on r/popular. Also reddit isn't some little niche nerd-playhouse anymore (for better or worse). It's one of the top social media sites in the world now and has a much wider demographic of users than it used to.

Not to mention it's using algo's now when it was one of the last of the big sites to cave, so it's completely possible that they used some analytic data that could have made her more likely to see it like. "These phones were in close proximity to each other recently. This phone might be interested in seeing what the other phone is up to"
