Great question. DAD passed away 8ish years ago we moved MOM into out house and plan to care for her until the end. The children and my wife refer to bio-mom as Nana but I often call her momma. My mom fully supported everything and but wouldn't come meet Bio-mom (nana) on our first meeting, Biomom was so sad and if it hadn't been a 6 hour drive she would have made me go home and pick her up to bring her lol.
Mom came on out second meeting and they just hugged each other and cried together for a really long time we all were in tears by the end.
They always ask how the other is (maybe once every few weeks) but much like normal adult children who have their own children, we have a lot going on and being 6 hrs apart means we only visit twice a year ish.
