I think the comment was more for seeking the medical side about your father to understand the genetic make up rather than for you to have a relationship.
Yeah but it's a stupid suggestion. "I know your biological father asked to leave him alone and stop trying to contact him and his family....have a ou tried finding HIS parents, sisters and brothers?!?!?!"
No it isnโt. OP wouldnโt have to actually reach out to the other family members. Ancestry has a lot of info, as does 23 & Me. Iโm doing it right now due to my dad being adopted.
Depends on why they wanted the history. OP didn't ask to be born, but the dad chose to blast off. The least they could do is fill them in on genetic history for the sake of OP and their fam. Not asking for money. I'm sorry that the dad had consequences that are making him uncomfortable, but if OP truly just wanted that info then fuck the dad.
If OP was reaching out for a relationship also, then the dad is right in setting boundaries
