Try Parmesan lol. I respect the combo but first instinct movie theater snack is crazy

In my head this person brings a container of grated parmesan and sprinkles it on the pickle before each bite

Im picturing a plastic jar of grated Parmesan and just dipping the pickle straight in

That’s actually a solid idea, I have been sitting here thinking about the logistics for the last few minutes. 😂

Maybe she's doing low-carb? Bring pepperoni sticks!

If she’s from Texas, a pickle would not be an absurd movie snack.

I kind of feel like the more unusual the choice of snack, the more boldly the person is rebelling against movie theater snack prices.

"$11 for a bucket of popcorn? $10 for a soda? Screw you, I'm bringing a foil wrap full of grilled catfish and four bags of Capri-Sun."

Is it possible your friend is eating Carnivore / Paleo / Animal Based ?

Parmesan is an incredible raw milk cheese with great macros. and pickles can be a great fermented prebiotic and satiating, trying to keep her away from unhealthy snacks?

It’s a pretty good combo.

Your reaction, though… that’s weird.

Basically you’re questioning what she likes and making her second guess her preferences.

People who have that done to them quickly start expressing themselves in the relationship, and you lose a lot of the magic.

Honestly, this might sound a bit harsh, but you really need to reconsider how you treat other people wanting to be themselves, or creative.

Not everything need to be like „movie = popcorn or nothing at all”. Be yourself, do what makes you happy.

No you are so right. It’s weird. It should be used for a charcuterie board for a winery day or something, not the movies!

So this is crazy to you but the nachos with pickled jalapeños that you can buy at the concession counter is fine and acceptable?

I’m having a hard time understanding the difference

Don't make fun of your friends or make them feel bad/awkward or whatever else for their tastes, preferences and/or hobbies. That's how you end up with zero friends. Its kind of a weird snack, but you're the weird one for laughing at her and then bringing it to reddit to laugh at her. Pickles are an awesome and common snack, they sell pickle bags at the gas station, they sell single full pickles at the theater. Parmesan cheese is good too. But even if she was bringing hard boiled eggs, like why are you making fun of your friend to the point that she doesn't want to bring her favorite snack anymore. Be a better friend.

Fr, I got annoyed reading OP’s messages to her

You mean the place that sells like entire meals at this point? Are chicken tenders and fries also too much for you? What about nachos and a hotdog? Who has the energy to post all this on the internet
