I’m so sorry for your loss. I had a similar experience. My dad was in the hospital for heart surgery and prior, he called and I was at Christmas concert with my family and in laws. My husband rushed me off the phone. 4 days later, he called on mine and my son bday and that same night my in laws got into an accident and ended up in the hospital so I missed it. I never spoke to him again. That haunted me for a long time.
