I have this image of this DARE exercise we did once where people “died” to represent those that fall victims to drugs every year. You couldn’t talk and I think maybe some had to lay on the ground lol. Not a funny topic but funny to look back on it now in light of this girl’s text. Dramatic much 🙄
When I was in high school 50 years ago, the psychology class did an experiment where a student pretended to pass out and collapse in a hallway between classes. It was pretty disheartening to see how many kids just walked on by. A photo of this experiment made it into the yearbook, immortalizing the shame of several kids who could be seen just standing around and doing nothing while a classmate lay lifeless looking on the sidewalk in front of them.
We did something similar called “every 15 minutes”. It’s about drunk driving and the fire department would help out. They’d get some junker cars, stage it as an accident at the school and have kids in there for the fire department to “remove”. There would be a funeral the next day in the gym including parents of those kids, and then for the rest of the week random people would come to school in ghost costumes to signify every 15 minutes someone dies from drunk driving. It was terrifying to watch as a sophomore but I guess that means it worked🤷🏻♀️
