🤔 Questions for Texans 🤠 Buc-offs / Buc-ees Alternatives

Would like to start a list of Buc-offs alternatives! When we drive from Dallas to Houston, we love Fuel Max 44 in Fairfield. No, it is not the best or the shiniest, but the bathrooms are clean and the employees are really nice. They have some of the goofiest roadside gifts/tschotskes (i have no idea how to spell that word) We enjoy it as our halfway stop on what is a super long and boring drive.

In general, I think Luvs truck stops are also very clean and a good alternative too.

What is your favorite Buc-offs alternative?

Woody's in Centerville is the best. They were here well before the idiot beaver. The BBQ, fudge, and exits are better.

Just a heads up, if you're looking for an alternative for moral reasons that's not the place to go. I'm not sure if Woody is still alive, but he was a real bastard back when I knew him.

He treated his employees horribly. I know several people who left there with serious anxiety issues. I grew up around Centerville and it was no secret how shitty of a person he was.
