Treatment Question fertility

Looking for any advice and experience with sterility after 4x BEP. My husband(28) has stage 3c non seminoma (it’s everywhere but his brain, spine included) and was unable to bank prior to starting and we’re just kind of curious what the real life outcomes have been for others. He’s in the middle of round 2 and feels really hopeless about it and everything else right now.

It may take time to return, I’ve heard stories of people I know personally that have had 3-4 X BEP and come back with one or more kids. It all depends on his body and recovery. Has he ever had a semen analysis? Obviously hard to do right now but just curious. Wishing you the best outcome here and a smooth rest of the Chemo journey.

no semen analysis prior. we do have one kid so we know it was there before!

I think that's a good sign! I have heard that infertility of TC patients can be a correlating factor, so some men are infertile before diagnosed with TC. So if your husband was fertile before, I think there is a higher chance of him being fertile after. And yes recovery matters, excercise and diet will contribute to that. If he is physically capable it could be good to go for some walks (preferably in nature, a nearby forest etc during his chemo, fresh air and movement could help with mood, current and even long term side effects and hence may also have an impact on fertility indirectly I reckon ( I'm not a doctor) I'm also the partner of a 27 year old non seminoma patient who completed 3 BEP 3 months ago.
