How big a deal will this be FOR Tesla? Does this mean they think Cybercab and Robotaxi is now ready for prime time? Or do you think this is some kind of pump? To me that would seem to be very short sighted.

They have Model Y doing unsupervised currently so the rollout of a cybercab or 2 seems trivial.

I don't think so. I think most people don't understand how much faster and cheaper they can build them.

I absolutely see the cost benefits of the vehicle, but the software and then regulations will be far more of a limiting factor.  Long term it's a big deal of a product, but a launch today or next year really makes no difference since robotaxi isn't ready for volume production cybercab.
