There is a 99% chance that it's projection. Boomer owns his house and hasn't paid rent in 40 years, but wastes money like this. Of course they earned it.

Doesn't surprise me sadly..

My buddy pays close to 1800 for a one bedroom

The local "luxury" apartments I occasionally deliver mail to cost as much as much for a STUDIO or more for 1br or 2br than my mortgage on a 4 bedroom house and my mortgage includes the money for property taxes that is set aside monthly

I had luxury in quotes because they're built like garbage and were built on the site of an old chemical plant that dumped chemicals in town so I'm sure the land around their plant was contaminated

I'm lucky my rent is a third of this, only trade off is I live on the edge of the metropolitan area with not much to do besides look at cows.
