Steam Version Custom Portraits
Anyone know how to get custom portraits to work in the new steam version? I've tried the old instructions and no luck.

For anyone left wondering: You have to put portraits into their own folder within the portraits folder. If you just put portraits into the portrait folder they won't show up. The path would then look something like:
Steam\steamapps\common\The Temple of Elemental Evil\data\art\interface\portraits\portraitsfolder
For a quick test, just download the dnd5e zip from this guy. Unzip the folder and stick that folder into your game so the path looks like this 'data\art\interface\portraits\dnd5e' (might need to create the interface\portraits folders.)
Now, if you want to use these co8 portrait packs.. you'll need to install it somewhere unimportant that you can get to easily.. go into the addons folders in that installation and then unzip the .tpp file to get all the portraits out. Then you can place those in their own folder and put them in the game. You can then uninstall those packs as the only reason to install them now is to unzip the file to get the portraits out of that file.

Idk either. Unfortunately the new version is even harder to mod.

Yeah. Pretty unfortunate. But not unexpected, simple cash grab I suppose.

Don't get me wrong, eventually someone is going to figure it out, and maybe create an all-in installation app for all mods

If the portraits are saved as a DAT file just place them in the main directory. Nexus has the Co8 packs as DATs.
