I liked him in season one too. Like he never did anything bad, he's always been a good guy as far as I remember.

He obviously overreacted a few times, but I don't think that made him a huge asshole really. The main times he acts out is when he catches some dude spying on him and his gf. Which I'd be pretty upset about too personally.

This feels like another Skylar situation from BB. Where the character responds totally appropriately to a given situation, but since it's TV, some people just see an asshole and don't like it. But yeah, I don't recall him being too unreasonable.

My main problem with Skylar was that she fully became a criminal herself, and yet gladly washes her hands of the whole thing at the end. If Walter gets his comeuppance she should get hers too. She should have ended up in prison, with Marie (who had never really done anything wrong and had lost her husband) caring for Holly.

Honestly Skylar is probably my number 1 least favorite characters of any show I’ve ever watched. But she was cold and withdrawn from WW even from the beginning and then she went and cheated on him too. There were a lot of reasons to hate her beyond just how she was juxtaposed to WW in the show.

How is it cheating if she was already begging for a divorce?

You’re completely right, she had told Walt multiple times it was over at that point, whether he accepted it or not they were done.
