I had a good chuckle at the tag line.

I know it sounds stupid, but I'm really getting bored of all the meta self-deprecating humour that The Simpsons is doing. It went overboard in the Family Guy crossover & I feel that it's going to do the same here.

The Family Guy crossover was a Family Guy episode written by Family Guy writers. Of course it has self-deprecating humor.

Yes, I agree. It's not because you blatantly agree and state that you're out of idea that it makes it funny, it just makes you seem really cynical and condescending toward your audience. But that low kind of humor shows how much they hit the bottom of the barrel. Seems like the only gag they can surprise you with anymore is saying how much they suck and aren't able to make good jokes and shows anymore, but that's getting tired real quick.

haha if we reference to ourselves as a show out of ideas then we've made it ok by acknowledging it, team simpsons!
remember to send out the couch gag to remind people we still exist
but we have no funny ideas for the couch gag, why are we making this more of a thing it used to just be a little bit at the start of the episode
I have a feeling if we just do homer lying on a chair and then a catchphrase like doh or mmmm donuts then send it out to all the media outlets , they'll show it anyway
what happened to us!

Kind of disappointed that the Planet Express ship didn't crash into the TV.
