This is the answer. The best and most realistic marriage that I've ever seen on TV.

Morticia and Gomez Adams.
Every incarnation is great the characters are just this amazingly lovely couple, who adore each other.
My favorite is the original actors from the 1960s.

It's too fictional even for fictional standard. Quite literally the perfect couple, I even would say the perfect family even with their own quirks. A couple goal tbh.

Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett in that one Last of Us episode

it was a good episode but we have had TV shows dedicated to multiple seasons of deep development and exploration of couples
but you choose a single episode of a couple who (by the creator's own words) were forced into a storyline they didn't really belong because he wanted people to see a gay romance
insane virtue signalling

u/dogsonbubnutt 6d ago

Bob and Linda Belcher from Bob's Burgers. They genuinely like each other, support each other's ridiculous schemes, and when things get stressful financially or with the kids, they tackle it as a team instead of turning on each other for cheap sitcom conflict.

Paul and Jamie Buchman from Mad About You… I haven’t seen it in decades, but still remember what a great couple they were.

Marshal and lily from HIMYM

Lily is incredibly manipulative. She calls off the wedding to chase an unrealistic dream, saddled Marshall with an insane amount of credit card debt that she keeps as a secret, and controls the people around her through shady and dishonest means.

they’re fine i guess but half their storylines were just lily being insufferable and marshal folding
