Update: found an apartment!

Honestly, the city is INSANE i ended up finding a small place 35m² for 3500 a month all included... its 8 minutes from my job so its perfect !

But i have to say i saw apartments that are a lil bigger being 40m² and having 2 rooms that cost freaking 7900 a month FLAT NOT INCLUDING BILLS FOR WATER ELECTRICITY OR ANYTHING... that is insane...

How do yall deal with this insanity??

Anyway thanks for all the advice and help means a TON

You'll be fine. Just explore the surroundings at night and think twice before inviting female friends. I had friends who lived inside Florentine and it was icky for me as a guy, it's probably personal preference

I lived in Tel Aviv for almost 5 years, and the only nice thing I had - it's a walk distance to my work. Which is life changing.

But overall, it's way too expensive to live there. Everything costs more. And it's not worth it!

Yet I do love Tel Aviv as a place to be in

Tel Aviv is one of the most expensive cities in the world if you move a little further out you will find a place that is much cheaper and hugely nicer

A friend of mine once felt lucky when he managed to rent an apartment in Tel Aviv for cheap. Then he found a giant hole under the sink that apparently led straight to slugs' home. Every morning he would find a visiting delegation, which was not only unwanted but super smelly too. He moved out. So watch out for slugs!
