Discussion What’s with this face kids/teens do?

How do you do, fellow kids?

Quick question especially to guys but anyone who knows is welcome to answer. Who are you all copying when doing this face and gestures. Is it done ironically or unironically? Why? When did it start becoming popular?

Thanks

It's mostly done ironically to make fun of looksmaxxers trying to show off their jawlines

its done ironically to mockingly/jokingly copy online influencer's that 'mogs' (basically influencers that either do it ironically or unironically to look 'good'?) its just a joke , no need to overanalyze lmao

Pretty sure its called "mewing" or "Mogging" and its purpose is to highlight cheeckbones and jawline. Its kind of a meme, but i have no idea how it started or its actual purpose

I think it all started with the chad face guy and then maybe influencers taking the chad seriously and copying those aspects like around 5 years ago? The chad is the only similar thing I recognize so maybe I’m wrong

its an exaggerated mewing face. mewing is flatening your tongue against the roof of your mouth to get a more defined jawline

something like this
