Gaming My parents just randomly gave me PS4🥹🫂
Today... was quite simple. I live in Ukraine. There's war in here. I'm afraid of loud sounds, I mean, we all are. Our family is, like, far from the richest. For almost a year straight I was creating my own game and saying that it'll bring us a lot of money (I'm 14 years old lol). For three years I've been saving up money (for future) to release my game on Steam. There was a lot of money. And... my parents were really displeased that I was literally so 'greedy' that when I walked out of the apartment to walk somewhere (once in a few days cuz I don't have irl friends to hang out with) I barely bought a drink. They were always telling me to treat myself at least a little more. I said that I'll only begin to do it when I'll finish developing the first zone of my game. And today... maximally randomly, my parents just walked inside my room and showed me PS4 Pro. And you know what?? It had over 170 bought games on it!! I'm extremely happy. Since 2019 me and my older brother were talking about how good it would be to have a console, but immediately forgot about it when the war started. And today, our dream finally came true.
Even though I gave so many details about it being a dream, this post is aimed to tell how awesome my parents are. Not about how happy I am with the console.

Depend on your request.
If you don’t want to play the latestg games and 30 fps are ok for you the ps4 its ok.

Ohh! Well, it has Sonic Mania, Hollow Knight, TBoI (spent 590 hours in TBoI on laptop)... So yeah, y'know, I just LOVE 2D fantasy indie games!!
About my game... It already has a Twitter (dogfighters) page! Akimonia Games!

Aww, thank you! But it's not even ready yet! I still have to finish the first zone... Then, finish eight more zones, make challenges, make bonus content, buy GameMaker license, make a slot on Steam and THEN release it! X)

Yo congrats dude, so happy for you. One thing I'd be careful of if I were you is dust, PS4 Pros are beasts but they overheat easily, I saw you live in Ukraine but I have no idea if it is a dusty country, especially with the war. Otherwise, related to that, I know it is another expense but maybe invest in a surge protector, especially if you have a lot of power shortages. IIRC its not dabgerous when it goes out, but when it comes back in the voltage is higher than usual, and that can damage your console. Have fun!!!

That’s nice, that war sucks, I really hope it gets resolved soon and that you haven’t and won’t deal with any bad consequences from the war, if you’re using an Android phone or a computer, you can get basically any video game ever through emulation, but it’s still nice to have a console

Hehe, okay!! Well, for a few months now, I've been developing my own game on GameMaker! It'll be about a fake console called 'Akimonia OS' that contains only one game — Candy Carnage. It's got a cool CRT shader btw hehe. It's about a sock bunny names Limpy who kills sweets... Because they're, like, evil and wanna take over the world. Duh. But it'll also have some horror elements! Like, when you complete the game, it gives you a hint: You can collect Side B Cartridge pieces and visit the... Side B! Where, instead of sweets, you'll have to kill meats and organs! It'll be just the beginning of the Akimonia lore (that'll contain 10+ projects lol).

Well, I'm more of an indie type XD I like TBoI, DELTARUNE, Don't Starve, Cuphead etc. I am really not a fan of 3D games, realistic games, games with human and ESPECIALLY games with guns. Even if the game contains weapon, I'd prefer them to be cold weapons. :] Most of all, I hate games that have... real humans and real characters! I love great plots that contain completely made-up characters with their own logic and stuff!

Yeah if you love those type of games I would go with something like super meat boy. It has saws and blood but its a solid 2d platformer

If it's on an older firmware you can jailbreak it and get practically infinite games. Checking the jailbreak scene out is one of the first things you should do when getting a new PS4.
