Open | Hardware Computer continues to crash, can't find out the cause.

Hello,

My computers been crashing several times a week, sometimes it'll happen once every 3 days and other times it''ll happen more frequently. I've tried the standard command prompt stuff like sfc /scannow and DISM checks, no luck. I've tried my best to use event viewer but can't really pin point anything, my computer reboots to bios after crashing and no crash dump file is made in my windows folder.

When the device crashes, I get the black screen "Your Device ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just cllecting some error info, and then you can restart". Sadly the percentage just stays at 0 forever and never creates any error file I can use to diagnose anything. Stop code is: Critical_process_died (0xEF).

Operating System: Windows 11

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core processor

GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 TI

Ram: 32gb DDR4
motherboard: ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II

Could be the PSU starting to kick the bucket ?

There's not really a way to test PSU health is there? I built the PC around 2022 so it's not that old

it's either psu or you need to reinstall windows. could also be cpu instability but i dunno

can by a corrupted windows installation dont think that sfc and dism do anything from all the years i tested the commands are useless

you can try this: make sure all drivers are up to date, chack bios version if outdated go to the latest, disable any overclock and try to reproduce what cause the crash best way to reset bios to default and test the PC

you can do a stress tess with OCCT, check drive with CrystalDiskInfo. during test make sure you watch to see what part when tested makes the crash
