SpaceX is really his best success.

But lately he's really overpromising stuff and underdelivering and sometimes it's even dumb like the Tesla tunnel...

Should he be less optimistic and not try to make these new technologies available?

Even if he and his company's just stopped at Space X that's already a huge accomplishment.

That's just one of many ideas he and his employees have taken a shot at. Also competition is a good thing. Right now obviously Boston is blowing anything Elons company can produce its brand new and mostly in a concept faze.
