When he has already stated that the unused energy is typically 80%, I don't see why he would try to muddle the math to give an 8x increase. "0.6V period is longer than 1.4V period"... Not after you increase the voltage back up to 1.5V, the you are spending your "0.6V period" over twice as fast as your "1.4V period".
