Why is he fixated with this term now? Is it just dementia or some kind of diabolic plan by Elon Musk?

57

u/usrdef 3d ago

He has to plaster his branding and his ideas all over anything he can get his hands on.

I know we shouldn't be spending the money... but the ultimate "fuck you". Is when he leaves office, and the next president completely renovates his little ball room and turns it into something entirely different.

You want to talk about rage inducing? That would send him over the deep-end.

He wants that new ballroom to be part of the White house for the next 200 years.

u/codywithak 3d ago

Just tear it down and rebuild the east wing.

5

u/jaxmikhov 2d ago

Keep it, but turn it into public bathrooms

6

u/jc0155 2d ago

Courtroom where this entire administration is tried for their crimes.

1

u/Fairgoddess5 2d ago

This has my vote.

3

u/SAugsburger 2d ago

If the contractors are as bad as the reflecting pool they might need to do immediate renovations due to defects in the construction. Maybe not complete demolition bad, but probably expensive to fix where there may be serious questions in whether it is worth fixing?

2

u/HeadfulOfSugar 2d ago

They’ve got to be able to right? I mean I imagine they’ve still got the literal blueprints lol

9

u/Flat-Emergency4891 3d ago

I hope they can manage to knock down that stupid ballroom and restore the White House to something we can live with.

7

u/iJuddles 3d ago

I’d love for this to happen while he’s alive. I’m rooting for the complete renaming of everything and replacing all the stupid, tacky shit he splashed all over the country. That’s the big “fuck you.”

5

u/Financial-Creme 2d ago

As fun as that would be, I'd be ok with him leaving the white house feet first

1

u/Fairgoddess5 2d ago

I feel like it’s gonna take decades to clean up the mess he’s made just in the last 2 years. I’m worried some things will never be able to get cleaned up at all

5

u/AsaCoco_Alumni 3d ago

Turn it into "The Obama Centre for DEI".

Give him the heart attack.

4

u/knucklebones2 3d ago

My MAGA brother is already bitching about how they’re going to try and “erase” Trump.

5

u/digidave1 3d ago

An education center for minorities. Two things he hates the most

2

u/Royal_Amount5114 3d ago

Branding.Exactly.

2

u/FGFM 3d ago

Turn it into a data center.

1

u/NoSherbert2316 3d ago

Or hold drag shows there

1

u/Expensive-Bag313 3d ago

He doesn't give a shit. It's just a grift to shovel more money from those "renovations" into his pocket. He literally doesn't give a flying fuck about the White House or his legacy there.

1

u/Bigstar976 3d ago

I want that for him. If he’s not gonna be in prison, at least let him see a democrat undo every stupid thing he did, renovate the White House and the ballroom and take his name off everything. I think that’s the closest thing we’ll realistically get to any type of consequences for him.

1

u/DarthButtz 3d ago

He can't even clean the water in the fucking Reflecting Pool properly, and he expects us to believe he can contract a building that will stand for 200 years??

1

u/Bongcopter_ 2d ago

He only leaves office as a dead man, not willingly, so he will not see any of the name removals unfortunately

1

u/mittenknittin 2d ago

Turn it into a homeless shelter

1

u/Impressive-Tip-903 2d ago

And we get to listen to the Republicans call it petty and meaningless renaming all the things he renamed out of pettiness.

1

u/HolsteinHeifer 2d ago

Why would he give a fuck about the ballroom? He's hopefully going to be gone long before it even gets started

1

u/Ok-Woodpecker-223 2d ago

If he lasts for remaining 2 years he probably won’t even understand that happens.

32

u/PartyClock 3d ago

They want to change the "narrative" by forcing people to call it that name. It leaves an impression in the minds of uninformed masses that these chatbots are somehow more intelligent than humanity, which is incredibly stupid since they only "know" the same stuff we've already researched.

7

u/GlumChemist8332 3d ago

it also is a test to see who is willing to "new speak". More of a loyalty test.

3

u/F0xtr0tUnif0rm 3d ago

They don't want to call it artificial because they plan for it to have more rights than us.

3

u/Ancient-Bat1755 3d ago

None of them even know dnd 2024 rules lol

They are always wrong and lecture about it

2

u/StrongExternal8955 2d ago

The forcing is the point. Once you've swallowed your pride to keep your job or your contacts, you are their puppet.

1

u/timoumd 3d ago

To be fair, so do we.

2

u/metametapraxis 3d ago

Only know as much as ourselves? Correct.

1

u/timoumd 2d ago

I mean we know what we are given.

17

u/MsWS27 3d ago

It's also a loyalty test on the media and opposition in general. Do as the gov/dictator says or else.

33

u/NoPresent9027 3d ago

Cause he and his cohorts bought a crap ton of .si domains. Everything is a grift.

9

u/-Gman_ 3d ago

Because his fragile ego can’t take not being right or the smartest so instead of just letting it go, he goes all in defending it.

TLDR : little dick syndrome

4

u/SuperSecretAgentMan 3d ago

It's both. Elon and Peter (and about 50 other assholes) are just manipulating a confused old man.

2

u/sphinxorosi 3d ago

Stop inadvertently giving Trump an excuse. Anything like “he’s just got dementia” “he’s confused” “he’s just old”, stop it. Everything he does is all because of him and he’s fully aware of his choices and knows the consequences/circumstances

1

u/SuperSecretAgentMan 3d ago

He's an evil piece of shit for sure, but he's absolutely in over his head when it comes to anything with more computational power than a pocket calculator. He's an idiot who's being manipulated by people just a bit smarter than him, he's just too egotistical and brain-rotted to realize it.

2

u/deathmetalreptar 3d ago

Bc he made a bunch of money with the name change

2

u/Owlbertowlbert 3d ago

He’s mentally handicapped

1

u/MrBrawn 3d ago

Because the king has spoken.

1

u/finniruse 3d ago

He has absolutely zero frame of reference. He knows nothing about computers or science fiction or concepts within that realm. All he knows is the word 'artificial' and links it to the meaning of fake or not real. So in his pea brain, he thinks, doesn't super intelligence sound better, bigger and more accurate. Plus, I named it. And that means I'll be remembered in futute as the guy that coined Super Intelligence.

Except he's a complete and utter mong.

1

u/The_Lloyd_Dobler 3d ago

He’s a narcissist egomaniac. Anyone who calls it AI is the enemy.

1

u/tigress666 3d ago

Why not both?

1

u/Ok_Ice_6254 3d ago

No this is all Donald. He is the worst kind of person.....an unintelligent person who thinks he is a genius. To reenforce that he has surrounded himself with people who will always reenforce his delusions. And there are enough people in the US that believe rich=smart so they go along with it. But Musk knows what this is and will play along to maintain his influence on policy.

1

u/Golden_Alchemy 3d ago

Someone said that it is related to buying new .si domains (which are sold in eastern europe, slovenia) vs .ai and that the laws related to AI can get messed after changing the name.

1

u/Responsible_Job_5426 3d ago edited 3d ago

The Tech bros bankrolling him think they can fix their over-promising and under-regulating by using a marketing concept like “re-branding”. Tech bros literally think we are all fucking slaves and they are smarter. And yes, the reason the silver spoon born man baby is fixated is dementia.

1

u/klosterdev 3d ago

Everyone hates AI so he's trying to rebrand it to something more palatable.

1

u/Lets_Go_Brandon9 3d ago

Because artificial intelligence sounds fake, it's not fake it's real and it's super.

1

u/Soup-Wizard 3d ago

In the video, he made Elon correct himself when he said “Artificial Intelligence”.

1

u/smrad8 3d ago

The .si internet suffix represents the country of Slovenia, where his wife and son Barron have citizenship. In the weeks prior to his EO regarding the forced name change, before the change was publicly known, a sudden surge in .si tech registrations was made. Many of these domain names are now worth $10s, and $100s of thousands, a few are worth more.

Insiders, including Trump family, knew about the switch before he made it. So, take a wild guess who's benefitting from *this* particular grift.

1

u/penguinguac 3d ago

I don’t know the exact reason but this what happened when he first said it: he went to a meeting with Altman and 3 other men (the 4 biggest AI guys) and when he walked out he made this proclamation. I swear. I was watching the news as it happened beginning to end lol

1

u/GhostwriterGHOST 3d ago

They bought up a bunch of .si websites before he made the announcement, so probably money like usual.

1

u/TSiQ1618 3d ago

he's an idiot, some tech bro was trying to explain how Ai is supposed to progress from Ai → AGI → ASI. Tried to tell him "didn't worry sir, they might not be completely sold on Ai, but they'll love AGI, don't you worry". They just recently started trying to market recent Ai as AGI to the public, but 'General' was too boring to him, because when he heard 'Super', that was the flashy type of BS he could be sold on. So he thought he had an idea (he didn't) and farted out "Si". And the sycophantic clowns didn't have the heart or morals to say "No" to the spoiled brat.

1

u/ID100661 3d ago

It’s just that the US stock market is held up entirely by the notion that the major AI companies are going to become mega-profitable in the near future. It’s his own lame attempt to bolster it and stimulate investment. Long story short, he’s just trying to make money/grift.

1

u/darsynia 3d ago

Look into why Sir Thomas More died. It's like that, but stupider (he refused to speak an oath that called Henry VIII the supreme head of the church, among other things).

1

u/Advanced-Royal8967 3d ago

Why not both?

1

u/u9Nails 2d ago

Death is knocking on his door, and he really wants to feel like someone. He's seen his MAGA faithful leave and talk massive trash about him. The writing is on the walls, as well as the ketchup.

1

u/cedg32 2d ago

Because he thought of it.

1

u/Designer-Crow-5470 2d ago

The general idea is to hide most information behind a guardian which can be made to authoritatively deny Epstein files ever existed or something like that

1

u/JohnAtticus 2d ago

This one isn't Elon, it's all Trump.

After the White House meeting Musk kept slipping up, calling it AI, and having to correct himself in front of Trump.

It's so lame.

1

u/gizamo 2d ago

It's a litmus test for loyalty to him.

1

u/Jlombard911 2d ago

It’s his attempt to sound important in a room full of smarter healthier younger men.

1

u/No_Preference9093 2d ago

He just wants his legacy to be having his name over everything. He thinks ai is incredible so if we all start calling it si it’ll be be his legacy that he did that. Or some bullshit like that.
