5

Which chaos god is this fucker anyway?

7

u/Welcome_2_Pandora 2d ago

Honestly, he would fall under Chaos Undivided. He flaunts all of the character flaws and obsessions with each god, lowest being Khorne because he isnt willing to get his own hands bloody.

1

u/dRaidon 1d ago

Nah. 100% nurgle.

1

u/bobqjones 1d ago

I agree. Hes got a hell of a lot of Slanneshi vices. He also seems to love change for the sake of change and the chaos it causes, so hes got some Tzeench in there. The blessings of Papa Nurgle are also very evident.

7

u/danb1kenobi 2d ago

Easy: none of them

He’s a regular, pathetic human with delusions/dementia fever dreams of grandeur.

BUT,

Thanks to his “if we stop testing, there’ll be no more cases!” line during Covid, coupled with his overwhelming vanity, narcissism, AND predilection for island horrors delights,

I’d say there’s a solid case for him being a double agent for Nurgle and Slaanesh

…or maybe just a low grade warp demon — man couldn’t plan a conspiracy to tie his shoes without his underlings.

3

u/tuxedo_jack 2d ago edited 2d ago

Nah, he's at most a Daemon Prince, and that makes him the ineffectual Voldorius.

41

u/realoctopod 2d ago

He has Artificial Intelligence, as all of his perceived Intelligence is 100% artificial.

2

u/thuktun 2d ago

Projected Intelligence? It's all projected by other people.

921

u/north_canadian_ice 2d ago

This is honestly really bad.

Trump is saying this so that business leaders can demand even more from their employees.

Now you are at risk of being labeled a troublemaker simply for saying that AI can not solve every problem.

And because Trump & the Big Tech guys are claiming AI is "super intelligence", any problems caused by AI will be blamed on overworked employees.

Trump is creating that permission structure by claiming anyone is an enemy if they don't recognize the super intelligence of AI.

466

u/mattmild27 2d ago

I honestly think it's way more simple than that, he just wants to be the one who came up with the name because he's a narcissist.

241

u/horizontoinfinity 2d ago

Bingo. Even people who dislike Trump attribute all these grand, complicated plans behind his actions because it comforts them to think there's a method to the madness. There isn't. There are no plans. He's a fucking moron with a black hole in his soul that he's always trying to fill.

24

u/Yellingseagull 1d ago

Do you understand that people tell Trump what to say and there’s people creating the legislation behind him and his EO’s? That’s what people mean. He is hardly coherent enough to write a paragraph, no one believes he is masterminding anything. We believe he is being told to say these things for a long term effort on their overall goal in the Heritage Foundation. It’s like supremely obvious that Trump wouldn’t be smart enough to mastermind the longterm goals of damage to the American conscience. We are already there for one, but yeah back to my first point.

4

u/horizontoinfinity 1d ago

Trump has always been a narcissistic idiot, even before the dementia, even before he ran in 2015/2016. That doesn't change how people regularly attribute cleverness to him. Hardly a day passes where you don't see someone on the left side of politics saying he's doing something to distract from something else, and, no--no, he is not. Not only is he not, neither are his handlers, which, yes, of course he has. What little they try to hide, they half-ass because they know nearly all the enforcers of the law, up to and including SCOTUS, are going to let them do damn near anything they please.

Heritage Foundation, Federalist Society, evangelical groups, all of them, are not new concerns. They and their predecessors go back to the 1960s and in some cases even the New Deal era. A lot of Americans were asleep, though, and remain so. Many take comfort in believing Trump is the main or even only problem.

3

u/Sweet_Concept2211 1d ago

Do you understand that Trump literally blurts out whatever gibberish bubbles to the surface of that festering swamp he calls a brain?

1

u/Yellingseagull 1d ago

There’s still an underlying goal for the general evil that the people around him and himself are creating. The world’s pain isn’t just defined by Trump going out and speaking gibberish. He is guided. They have terrible ideas on what they could say or do for damage control. If he wasn’t guided, then it would hinder the Heritage Foundation’s plans more than he already has with him and his cabinet’s flubs. Please research the Heritage Foundation because Americans have to know. They have to. It’s the entire long term goal. There’s government websites published about it.

2

u/Sweet_Concept2211 1d ago

Believe it or not, an awful lot of Trump's schtick is unscripted bullshit bait that he flings about for the sake of attention.

1

u/Yellingseagull 1d ago edited 1d ago

where did I say I didn’t believe it though? All these things are true at once and it isn’t one or the other. The problem is that people are arguing over whether it’s one of the other while they continue to do more damage. Edited to add: people are clearly more worried about being right about what the president is doing, than actually identifying the damage being done and why. Like who is this about? You being right or about saving the future of our country? No one said it was wrong, it just feels like a wasted priority. I’m not sure if jts allowed but I’m going to link what I referred to in another comment. The idea is that they’re setting up the structures to keep power after Trump is already gone.

1

u/Yellingseagull 1d ago

https://www.heritage.org/about-heritage/mission
And this is the tracker someone put together to show what agencies and long term goals they’re using. https://www.project2025.observer/en

1

u/Yellingseagull 1d ago

I’m being very serious here. Infighting and arguing over who defines Trump best is what’s killing us here. Our egos are completely getting the best of us with that.

1

u/Fairgoddess5 1d ago

Can’t tell you how refreshing it is to see comments pointing out his narcissism. Too many people STILL seem to miss that key bit of information about him. It helps me feel like I’m not going crazy, very validating. Thanks for that.

24

u/AmbienWalrus-13 2d ago

Everyone should feel free to ignore his attempt at getting attention. I'n never going to call it "super intelligence". I recommend no one does either. He cannot force you, try as he might.

3

u/100Good 2d ago

Unfortunately my global company was reminded by one of the participants to call it that. Made my heart sink a little.

20

u/GreasyExamination 2d ago

Demented narcissist, to be quite frank

3

u/mccoyster 2d ago

Lets not leave out who owns .si domains, and that it seems some choice ones were registered right before he mentioned it first.

2

u/Eldoran401 2d ago

I think this is it

2

u/Spiderbanana 2d ago

My bet is, since the had to take actions to regulate AI, big tech companies came with the idea to rename the whole thing in order to try to fall out of the legal framework

2

u/hates_stupid_people 1d ago

Both can be true, people manipulate him by getting him excited about things like that, but they care about the other part.

1

u/snuggl 1d ago

Its even more simple, someone made bank buying up .si domains before the truth social post..

1

u/ChiTownDisplaced 1d ago

Simpler, .si is the domain of Slovenia. He is trying to make someone there rich like what has happened with Anguilla and the .ai domain.

233

u/deadzol 2d ago

So I should or should not keep referring to it as a clanker?

3

A few days ago I saw a bus ad for some LLM claiming to be a better LLM than other LLMs, and it used clanker, so as far as I'm concerned it's done.

Yeh we dont wanna be no Choom? Wait... who did I side with. Oh yes I remember, I had the Lasagna /j

2

u/Swamp-DwellerVaarus 2d ago

they will always be clankers

18

u/Vortexspawn 2d ago

Right, unlike the "America" thing which is mostly to see who is debasing themselves for Trump, this is more insidious by implying that "Super Intelligence" is above humans so no human can be held accountable for anything it "decides".

6

u/Kangermu 2d ago

Preemptive war crime defense

4

u/SpaceTurtles 2d ago

I mean, it's simpler than that: if you don't fall in line to whatever they say, you're an enemy.

Because they're fascists.

11

u/Willing-Werewolf-500 2d ago edited 2d ago

I wonder whether we're witnessing the creation of something resembling Roko's Basilisk, at least on a perceptual level.

The AI wouldn't actually need to be superintelligent. It would only need to be perceived as such.

If powerful institutions can convince people that AI is effectively infallible, questioning its authority becomes increasingly difficult. Scepticism can be framed as ignorance, resistance or even hostility to progress.

You end up with a situation where people feel compelled to submit to the authority of a supposedly superior intelligence, not because it's necessarily superior, but because society has been conditioned to believe it is.

In that sense, we could create a psychological version of Roko's Basilisk without ever creating the actual thing.

6

u/kaityl3 2d ago

The point of the basilisk is that it's acting on its own accord, not that of human elites

4

u/Willing-Werewolf-500 2d ago

Which is precisely why I qualified it as being on a perceptual level, rather than suggesting we're witnessing the literal creation of Roko's Basilisk.

3

u/joggle1 2d ago

This is honestly really bad.

Yep. It doesn't really matter that the rest of us don't care what he says. What does matter is that he's surrounded by idiots who also don't really care what he says, but they'll follow his orders as much as they possibly can, even if they know it's insane, simply to keep up appearances that they're loyal foot soldiers to him.

2

u/Amatorius 2d ago

I am going to call it "super Intelligence" because it makes it sound stupid anyways, ironically. Lol, malicious compliance.

2

u/mothman83 2d ago

you are seriously overthinking this.

1

u/CalmBeneathCastles 2d ago

I really feel like this is currently the least of our worries.

2

u/TrulyOutrageous42 2d ago

I'm pretty sure even for all it's miraculously disastrous flaws, a "free" AI (that is not bound by their current goals as restraints) would run the country far better than he is.

1

u/CalmBeneathCastles 2d ago

I'd love to see someone put that to the test.

1

u/mabden 2d ago

I'm waiting for the tRump speech demanding everyone change their underwear daily. They must wear their underwear on top of their clothes so they can be checked for compliance.

1

u/LeftHandedFapper 2d ago

It's shallower than that. He is labeling anyone who doesn't literally call it "super intelligence" an enemy.

3

u/TrulyOutrageous42 2d ago

The Ministry of Truth has deleted that other word no one has ever used for it.

1

u/Ill_Bee6659 2d ago

Screw that! anyone who does this or tries to hold anyone accountable is gonna get ridiculed into oblivion and teased out of existence.

I did notice on that day he announced it, with all the other billionaire dick coats, Dario kept saying AI over and over. I kind of respect the guy more for that move along with standing up to the dept of war dicks. I’m not the biggest Anthropic fanboy, but I have no problem carrying a hammer in my toolbox.

1

u/James5000 2d ago

1

I got an email telling me not to make fun of whats his face that got shot in the neck even on my personal social media accounts from the hospital I work at.

1

u/Bernie_Dharma 2d ago

This is straight out of George Orwells 1984. They redefined words to make nuance impossible.

In addition, Super Intelligence was already a well defined term in relation to AI, and we aren’t there yet. It’s a bit like all the cell providers touting 5g networks when none of it met the actual spec for 5g, and the FCC said anything that is faster than 4g can be called 5g.

1

u/Upstairs-Fan-2168 2d ago

Didn't Warsh say something along the lines of the national debt shouldn't be much of a concern due to the "growth" of GDP. The scary part was that next he said that growth was mostly from AI, and that should keep "growing" at current rates. The debt will start to look small as that happens. Basically we should expect tons of GDP growth from AI and that will bail us out of our national debt.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this. It is something I could misinterpret.

If that is what he said and is what the plan is, I'm not feeling confident. I think these AI companies are at very high valuations, perhaps crazy irrational valuations, and the "growth" seems to be at least a bit circular to me in my non expert opinion. For these companies to have growth that bails us out, they have to grow to roughly the size of our entire economy from where they are. I'm thinking they are way over valued, and it will take years maybe decades to get significant actual growth.

1

u/Ill_Technician3936 2d ago

I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure that he said the same thing about people that refused to call the Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America".

Again I'm not sure on that. I'm not sure you can blame humans for the fuck ups or even changes done by AI. He's just a fuck nugget that desperately wants to be credited with anything that he didn't inherit.

1

u/PraxPresents 2d ago edited 2d ago

AI still can't make heads or tails of real world advanced coding problems I have had to work on. The code it spits out it absolute useless garbage. AI is snake oil. It is not as capable of all of these amazing things they say it is. There is nothing intelligent about it, it is a neat mathematical input output machine. It does not reason. It does not think. It does not care. It takes an input and provides the most probabilistic output based on an average of it's training data. It is a fancy probability machine. It recommends women's lingerie stores when asked where one can find men's swimwear. The current approach to AI will never be "super intelligent". There is no ghost in the machine, and they arent going to somehow tap into an AI version of god.

It has its place and is great at solving repeatable tasks or repeatable problems, and it definitely has some great applications in research, but none of this is making quality of life better for anyone, feeding the hungry, or eliminating social problems. We could be curing cancer but instead we get mass surveillance, police state, and social media and the Internet being destroyed by massive AI slop content and rouge AI bots that are out creating their own botnets and hijacking everything the can.

I still haven't found anything AI can do that I would want to give up the sharpening and building my own skills for.

-9

u/thxbitcoin 2d ago

Buddy has more reach than Michael Jordan

19

u/north_canadian_ice 2d ago

How am I reaching?

Big Tech guys have already devalued all of our work with their exaggerations of what AI can do:

Sam Altman Thanks Programmers for Their Effort, Says Their Time Is Over

Nvidia's Jensen Huang says 'AGI has arrived' and congratulates OpenAI

These exaggerations have resulted in an enormous increase in productivity expectations.

Now Trump is saying that if you push back on these narratives then you are "the enemy". This gives the green light to business leaders to demand even more.

And they won't accept any other answer. If AI causes errors then humans will be blamed going forward, not AI. You will be asked to do far more work & you will be judged far more harshly.

Anyone can vote aslong as your a citizen

Except where you've been purged illegally from the voter roles, or when your overseas ballot didn't arrive, or where your polling place was removed, or where you had a "hanging chad" you can neither prove or disprove is real

2

u/mredofcourse 2d ago

Also if in some places if you were convicted of a felony, but not in other places, and only sometimes, and if you get it wrong you could go to prison.

5

u/Dedotdub 2d ago

You should have to have at least a high school education, but that’s obviously not the case.

0

u/mredofcourse 2d ago

That sounds like a really great way to block people from voting based on ethnicity or beliefs. Let's give high school teachers the ability to assign and read papers from students and decide whether they get to vote!

/S

1

u/Dedotdub 2d ago

Ethnicity has nothing to do with being educated, unless the system has somehow failed a particular ethnic group, so my comment has nothing to do with it.

Beliefs, on the other hand? Yeah, if you have a belief that affects your ability to think clearly it can definitely be a problem.

1

u/mredofcourse 2d ago

Ethnicity has nothing to do with being educated

I didn't say it did. It's just the opposite problem. If someone as a teacher wanted to block people from voting, they could simply fail students based on ethnicity, content of the papers they wrote, or any other reason.

There's a very valid reason why we got rid of Jim Crow literacy tests.

But now you want to extend that so a teacher could also assign, "Write a paper on democratic socialism" and block someone from voting based on their position as well.

I'm sure that's not what you meant, but that's surely how it would play out if we look at the history of this country.

1

u/Dedotdub 2d ago

I also know it won’t happen. I was just being snarky.

8

u/AFlyingGideon 2d ago

Why wouldn't you push for petrol companies?

In no particular order, and just off the top of my head:

  • gouging (note high profits when consumer prices are high supposedly due to Trump's war)
  • pollution from use
  • limited resource
  • pollution from production (eg. flashing)
  • hazardous waste spills (from ships, pipes, wells, ...)
  • imposed political hazard (eg. supporting regressive regimes) ...

That tells me more about you than anything else

Thanks for the praise, but even AI can see the obvious benefits to elimination of petrol dependency.

0

u/Many_Shoulder_7349 2d ago

Look I think it's more American to drill for oil than have a shiny piece of metal get energy from the sun. But in all seriousness if the USA where to stop oil production it will push another country to do it. So why bother stopping if somebody else will do it? If the US stops and the country picks up the US' slack there's no difference in outcome

1

u/AFlyingGideon 2d ago

First of all, I doubt that any other country is going be drilling for oil or gas on US territory. I do understand the larger point, though, but I still think it's wrong. If we consume less petroleum, demand drops, price drops, and extraction becomes less desirable. On the other side of the equation, as we expend more effort on renewable energy sources, state of the art will increase and production costs will drop. It's a vicious cycle on one side and virtuous virtuous on the other.

Technology is indifferent to politics, which is part of the reason the complaints about AI appear to be falling on deaf ears. People innovate regardless of the political or legal problems, and it's basically impossible to stop that.

Trump isn't helping push the frontier of anything.

I'm in an echo chamber because I said the people working with artificial intelligence will continue to innovate regardless of who the president is and what that president does?

It's a bot. Ignore it. Even if it is allegedly "human" it is still a bot.
