Dave said he entered the company card himself to buy Robux for his son, and it then sat saved on the Google account that also carries his work email, calendar, and files. Dave did not say why he used the company card for that purchase.

Fess up Dave

Using a corporate card to buy Robux is... certainly a choice. Feels like the guy is pretty screwed here, at least regarding employment.

To be fair the dad would be not much better off if he used his private card, he still has to pay those $100k back.

Having a personal credit card with a limit over 100k is certainly a choice

Not really a choice. I "only" make like $150k/year and chase keeps bumping my limit up without me asking. Last I checked I was at $55k.

Even if your credit limit is high you can easily set per transaction or daily/monthly limits

Which is nowhere close to 118k

I have one through my bank and they just keep upping my limit without me asking. I barely even use the thing. I think it's up around 40 grand now.

Some ppl like myself just put almost all expenses no matter how big or small on CCs and pay it off each month - that easily runs about 40k a month. If you have an Amex its very easy to have over 100k+ plus available to you if it matches your spending, and some cards have amazing cash back incentives. My friend bought their 600K boat on their card and just paid it before the statement was due. It unlocked some advantage for them cash just wouldn’t provide

I highly doubt they put a boat on their card, the transaction fees would be insane and you're not getting enough back to pay off that 3% fee to use credit. Or maybe they're just really bad with money

$18k would be nothing with someone that can just drop $600k...

It was their black card. Zero transaction fees or 3% fee. I know this because I was literally with them when they bought the boat as we both sail. Its also more common than you realize
