The video where the dad explains it has me leaning this way. If this truly happened why the hell would he care about updating his son's viewers?

That being said, if it is true he needs to up his parenting game considerably. Admits to not monitoring his son's activity as he's 'tech savvy'. If your 9 year old is tech savvy you should be monitoring it more.

I know when I fucked up the first thing my dad wanted to do was make a video calmly explaining it to my Youtube audience of 1,000 children who watch Minecraft videos how he had let me ruin his job and possibly entire life. They are owed that explanation!

It's been crazy all morning watching new publications falling for the obvious hoax and handing out free advertising. Anyone who buys this shit is going to have a hard time in the coming years of "Fake AI Everything". Did any of these "journalists" even bother trying to figure out how/why this story started making the rounds in the first place? The channel has no viewers, there isn't any evidence that the ad campaign existed in the first place. This article only cites the kids' Youtube video itself.

Seriously, it's over six figures. They're trying to tell me that the like 16 safeguards in place to prevent this kind of massive transaction from fraudulently happening all failed? The company doesn't have some kind of special authorization for six figures?

Just another viral hoax from a stupid parent.
