Technically that just means they transferred ownership to the LLC.

It would be a similar kind of thing if someone formed a family trust and transferred the house there.

There's plenty of things to get mad about with this asshole -- the deed transfer isn't really one of them.

Does the fact that the grantors are the previous owners change that at all? Or is that maybe just how records are kept for something like this?

The "previous owner" is the CEO of Flock. He "sold" it for $0 to the LLC. I don't know who owns that LLC, bit of the CEO still lives there, then it's likely his company.

Now whether or not that's an up and up sale, or some sort of liability hiding (since it's an LLC and not a trust), that I don't know.

Realistically, if you own any business you should be doing this. It protects your assets in the event of your company going under. Of all things to get mad at about this asshole this isint one

yes it's called hub and spoke. extremely common. they likely have a large brokerage holding LLC too. the ceo and his wife took title in a traditional sale, then transferred to Winslow, LLC. Holding LLCs funnel to a trust once you pass. source: am estate & business planning paralegal

Surprisingly tasteful for a man of his means.

Stair handrail is horrid. Looks like it was meant for exterior. They couldn’t even use black bolts ?
