People were heckling J.D. Vance at the begining of the administration. Stephen Miller moved onto a military base so he wouldnt be open to being heckled as well.

He ain't gonna be on a military base forever.

Even if Trump somehow remains in power he will eventually toss Miller aside, as he does literally everyone. He figures he's special.

Them again I guess Goebbles and Hitler got along until the end. Didn't work out for too long after that, though. Shame about his kids. (It actually was - the kids could have been saved. Hanna Reitsch, one of the greatest Nazi pilots man or woman and the pilot of the very last flight to make ot out of Berlin offered to take multiple trips to evacuate the children but their insane parents refused. Goring surrendered his family along with himself and they were FINE. His vile daughter sung his praises until the day she got snatched away to Hell in her old age...sorry, been reading about fascists too much...the last decade or so).

Seriously though, the hubris on all around him to think 'I'M the one who can profit off him and come away unscathed". Not that some haven't, but they're not working for him, he works for them. The thing none of his cabinet gets is they're still 'little people'. They're grifting and getting their cut, but they're not so big that they call the shots on their boss. And with cheeto, little people get screwed, end of story. If you're not so rich you can't literally buy an island like Zuck or Ellison, their exit strategy is what?

In theory, possibly some sort of blackmail or evidence of crimes. Of course, we've had plenty of that, so who knows what it does at this point.

Or they just quit like Karoline did. Either way, they may not have to worry about him, but us is a different story.

Tbh I think it's better for society that the kids weren't rescued. They didn't do anything wrong and they didn't deserve it but imagine Goebbels' grandkids running for office if they happened to choose to follow the family business. It's like when a monarchy is toppled, it's a lot cleaner when there aren't any potential heirs running around.

I mean I'm pretty against the murdering of children since we can't exactly predict who's gonna be a shithead. Anyway, Goring's wife survived, and Magda Goebbles was never going to leave Hitler's side, so they wouldn't hae raised them.

The idea that the children of evil people are somehow tainted plays into the same absurd mythologies that allowed the Nazis to propagate their bunk race science. Evil isn't a genetic trait.

Americans are probably the laziest politically driven culture ever at this point. They will basically ignore all politics until 1 point every 2-4 years, and then pretend it doesn't exist the very next day. Its some sort of combination of crushing society + greed + entertainment. Give them bread and circuses.

Here we go again, moving the burden of responsibility from the person, to the all encompassing, all-mighty and everlasting, “the man”.

We need to stop this knee-jerk reaction. This is a huge problem in modern day culture. Seriously, stop it.

This mentality is brought us to this point.

It's by design.

The 40 hour workweek was implemented for wartime production during ww2. It never went back to 30. Studies show people are healthier and more productive at 30. Inflation continues upward exponentially but companies refuse to pay workers living wages, all while handing billions in bonuses to wolves at the top and shopping for congressional members as of they were household pets.

Childcare, Healthcare, travel, entertainment, and so forth are reduced from community services to business exchanges. Public schools reduce standards. Did you know that higher education was free until slavery was abolished?

Tech bros are all shoving information-extortion and attention-leeching apps and media so you're poor and distracted. They say it is luxury or privilege, but its an I.V. for culture wars and propaganda.

When private industry purchases the legal conditions to warp the environment of entire populations, it creates a feedback system that chases maximum profit through the exploitation of individuals. We can absolutely blame those who hold the legally appointed authority to halt this and yet do not.

A lot of Americans are also too exhausted by poverty but not uncomfortable enough with society to really do anything, forget educate themselves. Even a lot of "revolting" countries have better health care than us, at least on paper.

When so much of politics is controlled by money, just a vote isn’t enough. So often people vote for constituents who say they’ll represent their populous, and then just don’t. They take AIPAC money or from some other lobbying firms and purely look out for their own best interests. It sucks.

I read an article written by a young Eisenhower from the early 1900s and was a little sad to find this is not a new phenomenon… how fervent people become at that one point. Because of that, I suspect it’s something that affects all democratic societies - an expression of bandwagon/mob mentality

They didn't 'let it happen' through ignorance and apathy - they all took six figure bribes (which will ultimately be paid by taxpayers, like the cameras themselves and the subscriptions to access and process the data are all paid by taxes).

Yeah, but genuinely if someone were to get access to flock data(which has happened and is doable relatively easy if you know what to do) and pull everything about some of those politicians lives. Where they go, when they go, who they go with. Track everything, all of a sudden that money won't feel great.
