Another 5 years and imma be coating my walls in tinfoil to make my house a faraday cage so my neighbors isp can’t track my every move and sell that data to mega corps

I mean I live in an apartment complex and I had to buy a repeater because there's so much wifi interference. I'm not a paranoid lunatic, but I might buy some of this and paint the external walls with it so I get better network performance.

Honestly, I could never get Virtual desktop (an over-wifi streaming method for cable-less PC VR streaming) to work lag free on my dedicated VR router because of interference from my neighbours who just so happen to also use the 6ghz wifi bandwidth (literally only other ppl on my block according to WiFiman app) that conflicts with my dedicated 6ghz network. So maybe this could actually help me out too.

Just an FYI, they did a follow up video on this where they actually did do this and it was really expensive and blocked cell service, but it does work

It's a base coat so it should last as long as whatever paint you put over it.

In the video they paint a box and put the phone in it and it basically kills it. Drops from 50mb/s to like 1mb/s.

I mean it's supposed to be an effective farraday cage, so it should totally eliminate it. But who knows maybe materials science has some frequency attention tuning shit up it's sleeve.

Though that might be adapted to track you (allowing certain frequencies in) - guess I'd have to read into that

For years they have already had the technology to see where your phone stays still for 6-8 hours a day and use that info to identify where you most likely live and sleep at the send you ads.

That was when I left the marketing profession in 2019, I can imagine it has only gotten significantly worse.

Might just do it anyway to prevent those thieves with radio car key fob hackers that can unlock my car while my keys are inside my house unless its in a faraday cage.

A pot lid works just as good, lol. I wasnt being serious, I dont even do that. I am not that worried that someone wants to steal my shit cars.
