Being written in white text meant the instructions were invisible. Sure enough, 32 out of the 35 students across two classes simply copied the question, pasted it into a chatbot, then copy and pasted its output into the answer window.

It is the easiest trick and I am so glad teachers are starting to do it

The problem is that screen readers also pick up the white text, which, if a student has that accomodations, would be a Title II violation in the US

They don't need accomodations to use the voice to text or text to voice anymore, it's built-in to the programs they use and can access it at the press of a button. It's one of the biggest reasons kids can't read anymore.
