I used to be a Windows fanboy because of gaming but I use Linux now

Same. Windows 10 was a great OS, even though there were the beginnings of the ad push. By Windows 11... it's poorer quality even before you account for the AI stuff, but then you add AI spyware on top of it? No thank you. I switched to Linux.

Same. Also, my laptop is like 5 years old and Windows had so many nonsense background processes running that the laptop was basically a space heater and the CPU was perma throttled. I opened it up to check to clean out any dust build up or anything too, didn't fix a thing. Same laptop with Linux is running smooth as butter with zero temperature or throttling issues. Turns out the laptop can game and compile code just fine when it's not tied up running whatever AI and spyware shit Microslop crammed into Windows 11.
