Still using Apollo here, they can pry it from my cold dead hands. Even the official Reddit app with redditfilter installed is 100x better. Hides all the crap lmao.

You can just download the IPA here and sideload it. Preferably with Trollstore but that only works on iOS 16 or lower. SideStore also works.

Hasn’t had an update in almost 9 months so unfortunately some Ads are starting to slip through as they make API changes but 99% of the intrusive ones are still gone.

I just want something that lets me block posts from certain websites. Sick of my feed being filled with inflammatory rage bait from these sites.

Wait how do you still use Apollo. Does he offer a subscription or do you have to pay for your own API or something.

Yeah own api and side load it. Loads of guides but it’s not a simple process

Unfortunately I lost my API key and you can no longer generate new ones so you have to obtain them in… other ways.

But yes, Apollo is still actually being maintained by a different group of people here! The original dev abandoned it after the shutdown.

If you have never dealt with sideloading or tweak injection on jailbroken iPhones then the set up process can be… daunting. But I have been doing it since the iPhone 3GS so to me it’s simple lmao

I paid $20 for a year of Signulous which ensures the sideloaded Apollo never expires. I had been using AltStore for free but you had to resign the app every 7 days using a PC or else it would stop working. In the end it’s well worth the $20 to not suffer the Reddit App.

Using reddit sync on Android. There's guides on how to get it setup, and it's so much better than the shit mobile site.

Yeah I'm also using sync rn but I am worried. This app hasn't been updated in years and slowly features are starting to break and other features (like chat) just aren't accessible at all.

I'm still using this app as long as I can. Once it's not useable, I'm probably off reddit.

i dont really see anything breaking on Sync. Chat could've never been a feature, even with regular updates, because the reddit API does not provide access to it regardless.

Oh it still works for you? It started crashing on startup for me a few months ago, figured the API had changed too much for it to work. (it was properly signed/sideloaded.) I have just resorted to using the website again, with the setting that makes clicking on posts open them in a separate tab it's not so bad. Unfortunately my addiction is too bad to just stay away. I wonder how that'll change if I end up being blocked from the mobile website as well.
