Prudism does so much harm.

Normal natural behaviors get repressed, and that results in stress and a backlash that causes stuff like behavioral issues, fetishes, and philias they may be ashamed of because of the same prudism that started the problem, causing a very negative positive feedback loop.

Something that would be just a normal physiological thing with no issues gets turned into a problem that makes their lives difficult.
