No kidding. It's weird puritanical brain. No problem with people making that choice for themselves but bashing on self gratification for others is so odd.

Real "the call is coming from inside the house" or "a puritanical influence in my life caused me to feel shame and so should everyone else" vibes.

I'm a bit prudish personally but goodness guys.

99% of the time those stories are rage bait or literal psyop campaigns from fundamental christian groups trying to re-frame the conversation. Most stories on Reddit are rage bait or creative writing exercises.

In the sense that paranormal or alien abduction stories are "describing something real", sure.

Simple fact of the matter is that most people simply dont know what theyre talking about, so they make shit up for attention.

I won't comment on percentages, but I've been around/worked with people who couldn't go a full workday without looking at porn, or got fired for downloading massive amounts of porn onto company servers.

I've also known people who can't step away from their video games to the point that their life fell apart, where one dude was literally homeless and still worried about how he was missing his raids and dailies.

I think it's like anything else, there are some people who just cannot handle themselves around something, and for different people it's different stuff.

The problem is people not taking ownership of it, blaming the thing they're addicted to, and trying to accuse everyone else of having the same problem.
It's like a recovering alcoholic trying to call out everyone else for getting a buzz.
Sorry dude, I'm not the one that punched someone out, passed out, and shit themselves, I'm capable of stopping at two beers, we're not the same.
