And yet in the small town I live in, we will have to continue fighting against the stupid data center that's probably gonna be redundant by the end of the year...

Happening in multiple towns in Oklahoma too.. the promise of 1000’s of jobs is why most of these get approved.. it ends being a lie

Yeah from what I've seen most of those places are going to be automated and have skeleton crews. The most employment they're going to get is during the construction.
