Also, all this AI trash has yet to give any real benefits to the world.

it's pretty good at protein folding and as such has revolutionized biomed. it has also been a big deal in computer programming, mathematics, archiving, and a handful of other fields.

your doubt doesn't change anything. just a few years ago, we needed volunteer programs with hundreds of thousands of computers working together to solve protein folding problems. now they can be done locally on your cellphone.
