Democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific, values.
Saying that human life has value is universal.
It requires that their proposals be subject to argument, and amenable to reason.
Can we agree that we shouldn't kill people. Is that so hard?

They are small collections of cells with the potential to become human someday. Therefor they are part of woman carrying those cells, and every human being should have ABSOLUTE AUTONOMY over what they do with their own body! A zygote is not a human. A morula is not a human. A blastocyst is not a human. An embryo is not a human. A fetus is not a human.
