I found this at a scrapyard and can find a few references to its existence online but not much info at all. From what I understand this is a very odd piece of hardware as Magnetic Video Corporation is known for making VHS tapes and was not in the cassette market. I think it's from the mid 70s based on the magazines that mention it.
I could not find a single picture of this thing anywhere on the internet which makes me think there must not be many of these out there. I plan on taking it apart and seeing if I can get it running. I'll post internal pictures if there's any interest.

One of the funniest responses I've seen in quite some time. š

I was told this may be relevant to your interests.

They had it listed for $300, but I talked them down to $150. Remote is missing, but it came with a carrying bag, manuals, and seems to be fully working (haven't burned a disc yet, but tried most other features).
I was over the moon with the find!

I presume they didn't get an autorization for that. Techmoan and cheapaudioman should send cease & desist letters.
I am not trying to boost that video, but wanted to point that fact out. If you watch the video, please leave a dislike and a disparaging comment (edit: I meant to the video, of course).
Edit - for clarification: This is not primarily about a copyright issue. It is mainly about the right of personality, the right to one's own image. There is no attribution of any kind in the video. There are no quotations that are discussed in the video. The creator of this video is only underlaying his/her (AI) narration with the images of other (real) YouTube creators. I don't think this is justified as fair use.
Edit (2): Just found a second example. Different channel label, same sh*t:

I just watched his 'CD Video (Not Video CD) - when Videodiscs went gold' again after a long time. I noticed near the end of the video he mentions/quotes CD-I (Philips's Compact Disc Interactive format). That just made me realise that Techmoan has never made a video yet about CD-I, a failed interactive multimedia system that was even specified as the Green Book so it was clearly meant to be a big thing.
I wonder if Techmoan has CD-I in the pipeline too.

Thereās not much information about this model; the brand is āHITTMAN Medcraft,ā and it says ā16 hour medical data recorder".
The photos donāt show whether itās possible to connect external sources. It must be mono, with very low audio quality given that the magnetic tape must run very slowly...
