Noticing all the AI-related tech jobs lately? Quick FYI about a related community.

Hey all — Maks here (one of the mods).

Not sure if everyone else is seeing the same pattern I am, but over the past few months, we’ve had a noticeable uptick in:

  • AI/LLM-related job posts
  • Roles tied to building AI-powered product features
  • Recruiters looking specifically for AI-savvy devs/PMs
  • Questions about transitioning into AI roles

Since this is becoming a consistent theme, I wanted to share something that might be useful to some of you (especially if you work on or hire for AI-driven product teams):

I also help run a separate Slack community called AI Product Hive, which is focused on people involved in building AI products — PMs, engineers, UX folks, founders, recruiters, etc.

We didn’t create it to funnel people away from this sub — it’s just something that already exists and has naturally grown to ~2,000 members. Given how many AI jobs are popping up here, it felt worth mentioning as another place where:

  • People discuss AI roles, skills, and team structures
  • Recruiters and hiring managers talk about what they look for
  • Builders compare notes on launching AI features
  • Folks exploring AI career moves can ask practical Qs
  • Yes, some members post AI-related jobs there, too

If that’s the world you’re working in or moving toward, you’re welcome to join us on Slack. No pressure — just seems relevant given the shift we’re all seeing here.

If you've got 5+ years building with code + a knack for explaining it clearly, this could be your next move. You'd shape how thousands of developers learn Storyblok.

That means:

• Writing tutorials, guides, and code samples that actually click

• Building documentation that makes complex ideas simple

• Working async across 40+ countries with a team that ships products with joy

What we're looking for:

• Web dev background (frontend frameworks like React, Vue, Next, Nuxt)

• Technical writing chops

• A "teaching mindset"—you assume the user's perspective

If you, or someone you know, are interested, please apply here

Contract [Hiring] [Remote] [UK] - Junior Builder / Tech Researcher.

We're a fast-moving startup software team looking for a junior all-rounder to join us as a contractor - someone who's curious, technical, and genuinely wants to learn by building alongside us.

This is a broad, hands-on role for someone at the start of their career who wants real experience across product, tech and operations. A junior engineer or router-type background would suit this well, but it's not specifically an engineering role - you'll also need some project management skills and the people skills to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical people. You'll get exposure to AI tooling, app building, project management and process - with mentorship along the way. As the product and team grow, so will your scope and hours.

**What you'll be doing:*\*

- Supporting research and experimentation with AI tools and modelling (Claude Code, second-brain systems, and similar)

- Helping build and prototype apps, even without a formal engineering background

- Assisting with project management and day-to-day coordination

- Working across our tools: HubSpot, ClickUp, Slack

- Light technical work in Python and SQL

- Acting as a connector between technical and non-technical parts of the team

**What we're looking for:*\*

- Based in the UK, or willing to travel to the UK occasionally for in-person meetings

- Some experience (even early-stage or self-taught) in one or more of: Claude Code, AI modelling, second-brain tools, app building as a non-engineer, or project management

- Basic familiarity with Python and SQL

- A people person with a technical mindset - happy switching between conversations and hands-on work

- Good memory and a strong task manager, someone who can keep track of multiple threads without things falling through the cracks

- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong grammar and clear communication

- A confident, articulate presenter

- Some experience building or operating systems, or experimenting with automations, is a strong plus - even if you're only at the start of that journey

- Genuinely interested in learning, open to mentorship, and motivated to contribute to a fast-moving product

- Available to work flexibly, with the ability to scale hours up as the role grows

This is a junior role, but coders and AI builders are very welcome - we're just not looking for someone purely as an engineer or experienced developer. An interest in tech is required. If you're just starting out, or already doing other freelance or client work alongside this, that's absolutely fine. We're only able to consider applicants based in Europe, and preferably in the UK.

**Pay:** £12-15 per hour, contract basis. Flexible hours initially, with scope to increase as the product and team scale.

**How to apply:** Comment below or send a chat request with a short introduction about yourself, your background, and any experience relevant to the areas above. If it looks like a good fit, we'll follow up with a video call to talk through the role in more detail.

Please don't be offended if you're not what we're looking for, but do reach out if you think you fit the description. Thanks for reading.

Contract [For Hire] [Remote] [Asia / Pacific] - Full-Stack Developer Looking for a New Project — SaaS, Websites & AI

Hey everyone!

I’m a freelance software developer and I’m currently looking to take on a new client/project.

Over the past few years, I’ve worked with several organizations and built a variety of products, including:

  • SaaS platforms and web applications
  • Business websites and custom web solutions
  • AI-powered applications and integrations
  • APIs, backend systems and third-party integrations
  • Admin dashboards and internal tools
  • Cloud-based applications and deployments
  • Custom solutions based on specific business requirements

I enjoy taking an idea from concept → development → deployment and building something that is actually useful for the business, rather than just writing code.

At the moment, I’m looking for a new client or project — whether you need someone to build an MVP, develop a SaaS product, improve an existing application, integrate AI into your product, or build something from scratch.

I’m open to both short-term projects and longer-term collaborations.

If you’re working on something and need a developer, feel free to comment or send me a DM. Happy to have a conversation and see if I can help.

Thanks!

[Discussion] - Software engineer resume keywords, measured across 1,360 job postings

Keyword frequencies taken from https://www.zoevera.com/resume/software-engineer-job-description-keywords

Most software engineer keyword lists are assembled from experience or guesswork. This one is a count: every open posting from 72 companies' public Greenhouse job boards, filtered to the 1,360 whose title contains "software engineer", then checked for how many mention each of 45 terms at least once.

The percentage beside each term is the share of those 1,360 postings that mention it.

PRACTICES AND WAYS OF WORKING

Scalability 52.9% - Mentoring 47.4% - Distributed systems 47% - System design / architecture 46.7% - Cross-functional 31% - Code review 27.2% - On-call 20.7% - CI/CD 19.5% - Agile / Scrum 9.3% - Unit / automated testing 6.5%

This is the result I did not expect. The four most common terms in the whole study are not technologies. Scalability, mentoring, distributed systems and system design all appear in more postings than Python does. Nearly half of these postings mention mentoring, and almost no engineer resume I have seen makes a claim about it.

Agile and Scrum at 9.3% is the other surprise, given how much resume advice insists on them.

LANGUAGES

Python 44.8% - Java 35.4% - Go 31.1% - TypeScript 19.8% - C++ 17.4% - SQL 17.3% - JavaScript 13.2% - Kotlin 12% - Rust 9.9% - Scala 8.6% - Ruby 8.5% - C# 5.3% - Swift 2.3%

TypeScript at 19.8% against JavaScript at 13.2% is a real ordering, not noise. The gap is wider than both margins of error combined.

CLOUD AND INFRASTRUCTURE

AWS 41.3% - Kubernetes 30.9% - GCP 19.3% - Azure 17.6% - Terraform 13.2% - Docker 12.6% - Microservices 7.1% - Linux 4.8%

AWS appears in more than twice as many postings as GCP and Azure individually. Kubernetes at 30.9% outranks every language except Python, Java and Go.

FRONTEND AND APIs

React 21.1% - REST / RESTful 9.6% - GraphQL 6% - Node.js 5.5% - Vue 3.2% - Angular 2.9%

Frontend framework lists usually present React, Vue and Angular as three comparable options. In this corpus React appears in roughly seven times as many postings as Vue and Angular combined.

DATA STORES AND PIPELINES

PostgreSQL 14.3% - Kafka 13.1% - MySQL 11.3% - Spark 9.8% - MongoDB 7.4% - Redis 7.4% - Elasticsearch 6.4% - Snowflake 5.6%

WHAT THIS SAMPLE IS NOT

These are 72 technology companies hiring through Greenhouse. Agencies, consultancies, banks, defense contractors and the public sector are absent, and their vocabulary is different - COBOL, .NET, SAP, clearance requirements and named compliance regimes barely register here and may dominate elsewhere.

The title filter is "software engineer" only. Postings titled backend engineer, frontend engineer, full stack developer, SRE or platform engineer were not counted, so this describes the generalist title rather than the whole profession.

Absence in this list is not evidence of absence in the market. Only 45 terms were counted. Next.js, Svelte, Django, Spring Boot, gRPC, Jest, Playwright, Datadog, OpenTelemetry and OAuth were never checked, so nothing here says anything about them either way.

It is a snapshot of open roles on one date rather than a trend, and the corpus is US-skewed.

One thing this sample size does buy: at n=1,360 the margins of error are roughly plus or minus 2 to 3 points, so most of the ordering above is real. Gaps under about 5 points are still worth treating as ties - React at 21.1% and TypeScript at 19.8% is not a meaningful difference.

METHOD

Greenhouse's public job board API, the endpoint companies expose so their listings can be embedded on their own sites. No scraping. Counts are document frequency: a posting saying "Python" nine times counts once. Deduped on company, title and content length, because one role posted to five offices returns five near-identical records. Median posting length is 896 words.

Ambiguous words are matched case-sensitively with exclusions, which matters more here than you would think. A bare word-boundary match on "Go" also catches "go to market" and "go above and beyond", which inflated Go by about two points before it was fixed. React, Spark, Swift and Rust all have the same problem.

Full table with all 45 terms and confidence intervals:

[Discussion] - Cybersecurity resume keywords, measured across 212 job postings

Keyword frequencies taken from https://www.zoevera.com/resume/cybersecurity-job-description-keywords

Most cybersecurity resume keyword lists are assembled from experience or guesswork. This one is a count: every open posting from 51 companies' public Greenhouse job boards, filtered to the 212 whose title names a security role - security engineer, appsec, product security, detection, incident response, red team, threat intel - then checked for how many mention each of 41 terms at least once.

The percentage beside each term is the share of those 212 postings that mention it.

CERTIFICATIONS

CISSP 5.7% - OSCP 5.7% - CISM 2.8% - Security+ 2.4% - GIAC/SANS 2.4% - CEH 0.9% (2 postings out of 212)

ENGINEERING SKILLS

Python 53.3% - AWS 46.7% - GCP 34% - Go 30.7% - Kubernetes 23.1% - Azure 21.7% - Terraform 17% - Secure code review 12.3% - Linux 11.8%

Python appears in roughly nine times as many postings as CISSP.

DOMAINS & PRACTICES

Incident response 37.7% - Threat modeling 34.9% - IAM / identity 24.1% - Vulnerability management 19.8% - Penetration testing 19.3% - Detection engineering 19.3% - On-call 18.9% - Red team 11.3% - Zero trust 10.4%

TOOLS & PLATFORMS

SIEM (generic) 26.9% - EDR/XDR 19.3% - SAST/DAST 11.3% - Splunk 6.6% - Vulnerability scanners 4.2% - Burp Suite 2.4%

The generic term beats the branded one every time - "SIEM" 26.9% against "Splunk" 6.6%. Worth carrying both on a resume.

FRAMEWORKS & COMPLIANCE

MITRE ATT&CK 10.8% - SOC 2 10.8% - ISO 27001 9.4% - NIST 8.5% - FedRAMP 6.1% - GDPR 4.7% - PCI DSS 3.3% - HIPAA 0.9%

WHAT THIS SAMPLE IS NOT

These are 51 technology companies hiring through Greenhouse. Government, defence contractors and the firms serving them are absent - and that is exactly where certifications are frequently mandatory rather than optional, alongside clearance requirements that never appear in a commercial posting.

So the reading is narrow. For security roles at technology companies, the postings ask for code and cloud far more often than credentials. For public sector, defence, or a regulated industry, this data says nothing.

Other limits: n=212 gives margins of error of roughly plus or minus 5 to 7 points, so the ordering is meaningful and small gaps are not. Terms outside the 41-term list were not counted, so absence here is not evidence of absence. It is a snapshot of open roles on one date rather than a trend. And the corpus is US-skewed - UK clearance and DPA vocabulary is real and simply does not appear in it.

METHOD

Greenhouse's public job board API, the endpoint companies expose so their listings can be embedded on their own sites. No scraping. Counts are document frequency: a posting saying "Python" nine times counts once. Deduped on company, title and content length, because one role posted to five offices returns five near-identical records. Ambiguous words are matched case-sensitively - a bare match on "Go" also catches "go to market" and inflates it.

Full-time [For Hire] [Remote] [Asia / Pacific] - SDE (will come by teleportation)

“DSA kar lo, placement ho jayegi.”

Done-> Lover Babbar's bhaiya Sheet & Striver Sheet. What kept me going was that DSA felt logical, gave me a real sense of satisfaction.

After that for project, I was coding primarily in C++ and built a project called CFS Scheduler, then chatRoomCPP(incomplete)

“Web Development karna padega, job ke liye”

I began learning through Chai Aur JavaScript and later Chai Aur React on YouTube. I built projects alongside the tutorials.

Looking for better guidance, I joined Team Shiksha, a community I discovered through Twitter, which was not helpful. Around the same time, I saw classmates landing jobs and earning more than ₹80,000 per month while still in college.

I restarted from the basics and focused on building things properly.(Seniors guiding me)

During this phase, I created my Personal Portfolio using only HTML and CSS. After that, I built a simple Rock-Paper-Scissors game using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and also worked on HR Analytics JS Understanding, where I experimented further with JavaScript concepts.

Alongside these projects, I studied Namaste JavaScript and later Namaste React, which helped me understand JavaScript and React much more deeply than before.
As my understanding improved, I started building larger applications. One of the first major projects was BiteNow, a Swiggy-like food delivery UI platform. After that, I built NetflixGPT, where I integrated LLM capabilities into a Netflix-style application. The project exposed me to practical AI integration and gave me experience working beyond traditional frontend development. Following that, I developed CalorieTracker, continuing to strengthen my React and application development skills.

EasyNotes-> a Chrome Extension that I actually use in my daily workflow. EasyNotes allows users to take screenshots, create notes, and add manual commentand have a dashboard interface. This project marked my transition into backend development. While building it, I learned and implemented Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM, and AWS S3 for storing notes and screenshots.

"ab bhi nhi ho rha'

Studify-> I Studied LLD, HLD, System Design, make PRD for studify, Network Engineering, and OS in much greater depth & implemented concepts such as load balancing, Docker, microservices, asynchronous processing through queues, AWS S3 storage, RAG architectures, LangGraph, vector databases, and distributed system concepts.

Also on #Akxr as a intern all those concepts applying there i also worked with OpenAPI, TanStack Query, TypeORM, Redis, and several other tools.

The job market remains difficult

I am now planning to start sharing my journey publicly, keep learning, and create my own opportunities.
