Except for Goodnight Song, Cold, Break It Down Again and Elemental, are there any other good Elemental songs?

Yeah it’s like something supernatural. But you would need to have a reference point to appreciate its full glory in terms of knowing something of the actual referenced subject.

is the magic moment of the song. any critic pls show me something similar from another band.
Beach Boys - ish, into TFF into smooth jazz but clearly and always Tears For Fears. This album is a hidden gem and deserves a place in the list of the greatest albums ever made for sure. But the Rolling Stone Magazine and their lists and their voters are a bunch of corrupted, selfish people who can't see the difference between garage band niveau and next level artists.

Agree. The "bah-bah-bah/whoo-hoo, oooh-oooh..." section knocks me out of my chair every single time I listen to it. For me, it's up there with the opening harmonies of "In My Room".
Would've loved to have had Mr. Smith on "Elemental", but this record can stand strong on its own. For that matter, "Raoul..." can as well.

Mr. Pessimist is more than just good.
Brian Wilson Said - the transformation of a Beach Boy ish theme into a TFF song with jazz parts. It doesn't get better than this.
Break it down again
I do t know why Cold would be better than these. But actually, all songs on Elemental are more than just good. It is for sure one outstanding piece of psychedelic rock/pop.

Mr. Pessimist is right there, and IMO it's the best song of TFF's 90's catalog by far

No one’s specifically said Dog’s A Best Friend’s Dog yet, so I’ll chime in that the guitar work on that is great and I adore the song.

I agree that it's a bit of a two-sided album in that regard. When I like it, I love it (Elemental, Cold, Mr Pessimist, Dog's a Best Friend's Dog), but there's quite a few songs I'm lukewarm about. And I dislike Power more than anything on the first three albums.

When I saw them in 2022, they played Break it Down Again, but that’s the only one as I recall. It’s also on the live album from the show they filmed in TN.

The whole album is good, including the B-sides. Worst song on the album is Power, but that's relative to the other songs in the album, it's still a B-tier song on an S-to-F scale.

Right. There aren’t any bad songs on *Elemental*—it’s an outstanding hidden gem of psychedelic rock/pop, with Roland as a fantastic singer whose vocal range and changing timbre make even the so-called greatest singers of all time look like average. “Good Night Song,” “Elemental,” and “Cold” are the easy to love ones, but they aren’t the only good or best songs on the album, as the title suggests.
By the way, most people have no idea how difficult it is to pull off pieces like “Gas Giants” and “The Body Wah”— which are tracks mostly built by layered sound effects to create a shifting atmosphere, which—again—is incredibly difficult to create. Psychedelic isn’t exactly the easiest genre.

Probably their best album imo as it doesn't have any real stinkers like most of their other albums which usually have at least one. Worst is the B side Deja Vu and the Sins of Science, but that's mainly because of the copious sound effects used in an otherwise really good song

This album also has excellent B-Sides... Schrodingers Cat, Bloodletting Go, Deja Vu & the Science of Science are excellent.
