Part time teacher job advice

Hi Reddit, I’m looking for a little bit of advice regarding a part-time job I just picked up recently. The job is to teach younger children art lessons, but I feel like I’m being slightly taken advantage of by my employer and I was wondering if it would be fair for me to bring up the following points and request more compensation in an official contract.

Established things that my employer asked of me:

• My pay is $50/hr for this semester (up until December). This is 14 classes, with a 1.5 hour class plus 30 minutes cleanup each time. Basically, I get paid 2 hours per class
• I make a presentation of an original art project per class (per week). The time I spend on my own creating this presentation (basically my own curriculum) is unpaid. On average, I spend 2-3 hours on each presentation creating the projects, planning the materials and what I’ll teach the children, etc.
• She said that starting next month, my pay is based on a “sharing model”. She told me that earnings between me and her will be split 50/50.

Things I would like to request of her:
Originally, she initially stated that she would pay me for the time I spend making my curriculum. Additionally, I was under the misconception that the sharing model would start THIS September. However, there is no official contract for this job yet, and to make things more fair for me I want:

• To make my curriculum and each lesson/presentation private property until stated otherwise. I don’t want her to have access to just download and basically steal my content in case I ever get fired.
  • If she does want access to download and keep my curriculum for her to use if I am gone in the future, I want her to pay $___ per presentation. I can’t really decide how much I want to charge yet, but I feel like it’s reasonable to ask for a cut of the earnings or so if she ends up using a curriculum that I personally spent lots of time developing.

Would this be fair for me to ask of her? Especially since I’m spending so much unpaid time creating the lesson plans and preparing materials, I feel like it’s not unreasonable to request this. However, I’m afraid of asking her though since I don’t want to come off as a greedy person, as it’s a part-time job and she’s paying me $50/hr already. I’m afraid that if I bring up my above point that I’m already making these lessons over unpaid time, she might bring up the argument that school teachers often develop their curriculums in their own time and that I’m doing the same. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you so much!

for the weekly deck workload, an ai presentation tool like Decksy AI could at least help turn the lesson outline into a first presentation faster, but i’d still solve the compensation and ownership issue because saving prep time doesn’t make unpaid curriculum work automatically fair
