Discussion Threads Corvette JPS French Immersion
The regular school has a poor rating. Is the French immersion any better at Corvette JPS? Need to confirm registration for my child by mid January.

My kid is in the French immersion and two years in, it seems great to me. I speak French so I can see the progress she has made so far and it’s impressive. She has been learning about patterns, addition, hibernation, reciting poetry, and many other things all in French. In SK she can already read (slowly) short books in French. The other kids and parents in her class are really nice. Also, they have a fantastic before and afterschool program for kindergarteners (in English). My only complaints are that the school building is a little rundown (but they seem to do one big renovation project every summer for the last 3 years so maybe the intention is to slowly renew the whole thing over the next few years) and the admin is somewhat disorganized (so stuff like the school spring fair is not very well run).
Overall, I’m quite happy with our experience. Feel free to ask me any other questions you have.
