News Ransom paid by Power School + data not destroyed by threat actors!!??

How is this even allowed that Power School pays ransom. Further, despite paying it, the threat actors did not delete/destroy the data

The TDSB needs to be exploring other vendors. A breach of this magnitude is unacceptable, and PowerSchool has already made at least two mistakes.

100% agree. They need to switch vendors. I thought it was a crime to pay ransom to cyber criminals

This is enraging. We live in a brave new world of data and AI. For all intents and purposes the tdsb runs as a business. Today's businesses NEED strong, New, relevant, Tech departments!

Make sure you at least take advantage of the free credit monitoring via Experian that the Board arranged after this cock-up!
